Common questions
My broker won't connect. What's wrong?
Most broker connection failures come down to three things: (1) the login/password is for an investor account, not the trader account — SignalFlow needs the trader account. (2) the server name has a typo (Demo vs Live, version suffix, etc.) — copy it exactly from your MT4/MT5 login screen. (3) the broker is not yet whitelisted in MetaAPI. If you've checked all three and it still fails, email support with the exact error we showed you.
Where do I find my broker server name?
Open MT4 or MT5, log out, and look at the server dropdown on the login screen — your previously-used servers are listed there. Copy one exactly, character for character. Common formats look like ICMarketsSC-Demo, PepperstoneUK-Live01, FXChoice-MT5-Demo. The version suffix (e.g. 01) matters.
My Telegram session expired. How do I reconnect?
Go to /onboard and re-verify your phone number. The engine will pick up your new session within ~60 seconds and resume listening. While you're disconnected, signals from your channels are not being received.
What does the AI confidence score mean?
When a signal arrives, our parser extracts pair, direction, entry, stop loss, and take profit — and scores how confident it is that all five are present and consistent. 100% means everything was found cleanly; 65% is the minimum to count as a valid signal at all. Your Min Confidence setting in /settings filters further: anything below your threshold is logged but not traded.
Why was a signal skipped?
A signal that hit your channel but didn't trade usually means one of: (1) Min Confidence — parsed score was below your threshold. (2) Auto-Trading disabled — toggled off in /settings. (3) Daily trade limit — you've hit your cap for the day. (4) Broker not connected — your MetaAPI connection has an issue. We record the exact skip reason for every signal — the /signals tab shows the outcome of every signal (Traded, No stop loss, Low confidence, Daily cap reached, and so on) in its Outcome column. Still unclear? Email support@signalflow.fyi and we can dig into a specific signal with you.
What happens when my trial expires?
Your account stays accessible — you can log in, see your history, change settings. But the engine stops opening new trades for you. Existing open positions are unaffected and will close at their SL/TP normally. To upgrade, head to /billing and pick a plan — checkout is self-serve and your plan activates within seconds of payment.
How much can I risk per trade?
In % of Balance mode you have full control — from 0.1% up to 100% per trade. Up to 2% saves instantly. Above 2%, the save is held until you acknowledge the downside in real dollars computed from your account balance; above 20% you must type an explicit acceptance. Those warnings are not decorative. SignalFlow executes automatically and unattended: at high risk percentages a short losing streak can wipe out the account, and nobody asks you before each trade. The engine's only remaining safety check is against calculation bugs — it will never override the risk you chose.
How do I change my connected broker?
Email support@signalflow.fyi with your account email and the broker you want to switch to. We don't have a self-serve button for this yet — broker switching needs to coordinate with closing any open positions on the old broker, and that's safer done manually. We'll get you swapped within one business day.
